Victorian Sole Trader and Hospitality Businesses - Support Package
The Victorian Government is investing $290 million to support Victorian sole traders and hospitality businesses who are some of the
businesses most impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
SOLE TRADER SUPPORT

A $100 million support program to provide grants of $3,000 to over 30,000 sole traders in the hardest hit sectors, such as retail,
accommodation and food services, creative and media, hairdressing, gyms, events, education and training.

OUTDOOR HOSPITALITY SUPPORT

An $87.5 million Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package to support councils and businesses prepare for COVID Normal reopening across
Victoria.

This includes grants of up to $5000 for hospitality businesses – our restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs – to help them adapt to outdoor
dining, in line with our roadmap towards reopening. This could include support to purchase outdoor infrastructure like umbrellas, furniture,
screens and other equipment, for businesses with an annual payroll of less than $3 million.

Grants of up to $500,000 per metro and regional city council, and $250,000 per rural council, to deliver reduced or waived permit fees, or
invest in new infrastructure and equipment to support local businesses as we reach COVID Normal, including road and lane changes,
streetscaping and lighting.
- The package will enable businesses and councils across Victoria to prepare for the roadmap for reopening and adapt to a COVID Normal through investment in infrastructure and equipment for expanded outdoor dining.
